Do your components need to be aesthetically pleasing?

All things being equal, who wouldn't go for better looking? Things seldom are equal however so I'm no stranger to "Black Boxes" and simple casework.

I say YES and no...Lets say B&W 800d vs ATC 300t...If you need looks and a good sound well B&W BUT if looks are not at the top of the list and uncomprimised SPL is then ATC.I personally love audio and art buy not to often do all my components come at the same vale level of affordability at one time.
