Second job after graduating was LTV Acoustic Research Center, Anaheim, CA in 1970, building acoustic widgets for space and military applications, and mentored by founder of Altec. Taught science in junior college, got NSF grant in 1976 to research and write workbook on how acoustic guitars really work. Back to grad school, MS physics. Became state licensed Acoustic Engineer and invented the TubeTrap in 1984. Started ASC to manufacture and distribute the TubeTrap which led to a deep involvement into building and voicing recording studios, audiophile playback rooms, churches, home theaters and other difficult venues. Art currently teach acoustic classes to recording engineers, handles the PE exam for Acoustic Engineers in Oregon and remains the working president and owner of ASC.
