There is an update (version 2.04) posted now that fixes a bug that prevented the noise/hum attribute test from working.
Or, when the software is compiled include a "manifest" file that specifies the program must be run with administrator credentials. This is compatible with Vista / Win7 UserAccessControl methodology. However, admin privs should never be needed to run a regular program, so that's not really a good fix anyway- A lot of this mess is more due to Vista / Win7 security than anything else. My opinion, have the music files themselves save to the "My Music" directory (or sub directory under that). Then nothing admin is required. The security issue noted above with 'Program Files' or 'Program Files (x86) directories is indeed correct, and also applies to Server 2008.

Some good news: We are discussing moving this listener training application to our corporate web site with links to brands, and update the software and provide better support for users. It seems that there is enough critical mass and interest in the training application both externally and internally to put some more effort and money into it.
It's being used quite a bit in universities that teach audio/sound recording, audio retailers, and I'm told even Apple and Dolby uses it to train audio engineers. I have noticed the latest Apple earbuds that came with my Iphone 5 sound better than previous generations ???
It's nice that people are still interested in becoming better critical listeners.
