    Nothing digital - just the output analog stage, and the power supplies.

    Am I right to say the same track (the same portion on that side of the same vinyl) was played twice in each of these tests?

    Did no one questioned this methodology?

    Main System: Sources EMM Labs TSDX / DAC2X v2. Amplifiers Sony TA-E1, TA-N1.
    Speakers Sony SS-M9ED. Cables Straightwire Crescendo and Serenade interconnects, Straightwire Serenade double run speaker cables.
    2nd System: Sources ELP Laser Turntable, Pass Labs Aleph Ono Amplifiers Pass Labs XP20, X350. Speakers Sony SS-M9ED. Cables Pro-Ject RCA CC Phono cable, Straightwire Crescendo interconnects, Straightwire Crescendo double run speaker cables.

    No, it is not played twice. The phono-stage used had a built-in ADC. We compared the analog output of the phono-stage with the digital output reconverted back to analog with an external DAC. We took great pains to level-match the two.
