After a lot of patience from Xavier and listening extensively the last week or so at my room, I twisted his arm and bought from him the Technics/EAR deck to get me started into the R2R world. I am devouring tapes now and more concerned of the performance of the artists involved rather than of the hardware....

You won't be sorry :) Doesn't get much better than one of Tim's units!

These are ASC tube traps Jay, I have four in the room, the front ones facing the absorbing half of its design and the back ones facing the reflective side. I understand these are 120Hz tuned traps since there are taller ones for 80Hz as well as half pillar sized for wall placement. Here is a link to their site:
