Hi everyone.
Recently got myself a set old of Genesis 400 + center + sub.
The speakers have an attenuator on the back, and from what I can tell it controls the volume of the rear firing tweeter.
All the drivers work well, but I think the attenuator is faulty. When you turn it, there is no sound from the tweeters. When you stop turning, sometimes there's sound and sometimes there's no sound.
I want to replace the attenuator, but don't know the values.
I've tried measuring it, but not able to, since it normally shows open circuit.
I know there's no schematics for the 400, but I'm hoping there's enough knowledge out there to be able to allow me to find a replacement
I figure all I need to know is a resistance value, power rating, and log or linear
Can someone please help me suggest a replacement.
I can upload photos if that helps.
Thanks
