That looks absolutely amazing, Bill! Congratulations, and may it bring you a lifetime of vinyl bliss!

PS: I saw today the revised version of the MastersounD PF100. That amplifier looks very well-made!

Hey Ron. Totally agree on your assessment of the pf100 - I was ogling that the other day too. Very tasty. Totally loving my Mastersound - 60kg of parallel 845 bliss tbh. Almost larger than life but so addictive. Very few products actually receive a name from me but I named her Bella after 1 day lol.

Moving to analogue only was a big decision but one I am really pleased to have made. I have spent all year buying and discovering new music, which is wonderful. I find enormous catharsis entering an analogue environment away from the vagaries of a modern forever digitally connected existence.

Bill, I’d happily join the LGBTT community to get the chance to own a Vyger.

Bill, I know you’re not the biggest advocate for DD, but from what you know about Vyger’s evolution (onto 4th upgraded model I believe), was there ever a time when the unit could have moved away from being belt drive? I mean, with the resources the company and designers have, DD I’m sure could have been considered.

Here is Bella but she is just looking pretty for now until my horns return. Maggie prefers more juice.

Christoph, I did strongly suggest Apogees to Bill over the last few months.

Hi Amadeus,

Thanks for the kind words. I am truly ecstatic about my Vyger. The enormous uplift in performance even versus an SME30/2 is crazy. Every time I go to listen, I seem to enter a new realm. Total disengagement with the world.

Lovely system btw.

Are you trying to get a feeler if your room could accomodate Apogees?

Hi Christoph,

Nice to hear from you and hope Munich was fun. Actually really enjoyed spending some proper time with planars. Surprisingly to me they actually work really well in my listening room. That being said, they are a very long way away from the Loth Minstrel Horns for most performance parameters and especially the ones that excite me. I can really appreciate that some Apogees must be great fun to own but I am fully resolved in my choice of system topology - analogue, SET, horn.

Dear Bill, I have been following your posts about the Vyger Atlantis and one post about the Kirmon 1 phono. Congratulations on your great purchase, you make me sooo keen to bite the bullet, too. I am very close to take the plunge with both Vyger Indian Signature IV and the Krimon Phono. If you could kindly give me any update of your impression on the Vyger TT and any extra news of the phono, I would be so grateful. I wish you and all WBF readers/ writers a great weekend.

I heard the Italians give an extra discount plus flying all the way from Italy to do a proper set up for a good looking Asian female musician ;).

I think we will get to compare Krimon phono with the Mayer at the General's place soon.
