This may seem an odd question, but outside vintage products, are there any products that from the first moment they are put to the market, that actually go up in price - like a Rolex Watch, or the McLaren F1 car, or a house?

The Klipschorn has legitimately gone up in price over the last 50 years.

All products go up due to inflation. A Hershey bar is no longer $.05.

If you buy your house for 500,000 currency units and sell it 5 years later for 1,000,000 currency units did it go up in value? Or did your currency units devalue?

If a currency unit falls in the woods and no one's there to hear it, did it make a sound?

Those have never lost anyone any money, ever. And I ,mean from the very second they were handed the keys.

Whisky and rare releases (which disappear as they are consumed) have tended to go up very rapidly after the release is totally sold out.
