So I have a little "Infusion" hobby - I make things like spiced brandy, fruit infused vodka, etc. Last Christmas, I made George Washington's Cherry Bounce. The recipe is from Mount Vernon : http://www.mountvernon.org/inn/recipes/article/cherry-bounce/

10 to 11 pounds fresh sour cherries, preferably Morello, or 3 (1-pound, 9-ounce) jars preserved Morello cherries
4 cups brandy
3 cups sugar, plus more as needed
2 cinnamon sticks, broken into pieces
2 to 3 whole cloves
1 (1/4-inch) piece fresh whole nutmeg

But cut it by a third - since that recipe makes about a gallon of the stuff. Since I bought the Morello cherries, from Trader Joe's - I took a leap of faith and bought their brandy. Pierre DuChene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-ObbNUQuDA

It was good. Very good. Light on the alcohol since the brandy is cut with the cherry juice and then simmered with spices. The brandy was surprisingly good for the price. I should have just made a gallon of the stuff since I've made it twice more due to requests from friends and dinner parties - and cheap enough to make plenty and bring it to said dinner parties.
