I've listened to Audio Note in my system, and owned MSB for a few years in my second system..MSB was great for a pure digital dac, I wouldn't have owned it for that long if I didn't enjoy it. Comparing it to Audio Note is like comparing a cat and a dog for a pet..I'd definitely characterize the AN dac as more of a musical dac a little more raw and less filtered sound in it's presentation, but the MSB has some of that quality but is smooth and still fairly dynamic.

Given a choice, for me personally, (yes it's personal for everyone) I take the AN sound all day. I never even think about what my dac is doing when the AN dac is in, I just listen enjoy and I am blown away at how it sounds more like live music than any digital I have heard.
