Elon Musk is funny; he uses Twitter to influence the markets.
He's a big talker, like other hot shots.

But @ the end it's the numbers that people are interested in, the products, the reliability, the ecosystem, the health and wealth of the people and investors of our planet, of our societies, of our fundamental values...economics, families, clean water, clean air, healthy food, good sounding music.

https://money.cnn.com/2018/08/08/investing/elon-musk-tesla-going-private-tweet/index.html

They are investigating Musk regarding his latest tweets.
https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/08/08...-sec-investigation-following-musk-tweets.html

Me I think he's desperate, you have to to have an account with Twitter, and his last girlfriend. Good luck, he's going to need some to rely on.

It’s almost impossible to imagine how Elon Musk’s tweet yesterday of “funding secured” is not a Rule 10b-5 violation. If not false — unless he has at least today’s equivalent of a “highly confident” letter — the comment almost certainly is misleading.

It will be interesting to see what they are going to come up with.

"Elon Musk's lawyers are probably pouring over rule 14e-8 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 right about now."

That makes me laugh because it's obvious that Musk is raising money desperately needed through Twitter with his fake/boost news.
https://business.financialpost.com/...all-the-gains-it-reaped-from-elon-musks-tweet

Nothing is going to happen because that's the way it works with Twitter.
And it's funny too about China and Saudi Arabia investors, two super great countries with a clean bill of health for human rights.

I need to watch more movies; Twitter and the latest news, just not about Tesla, is enough to give a good woman a heart attack.

Elon Musk's 'funding secured' tweet could cost Tesla millions, former SEC chairman says
Business Insider

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has taken an unusual approach to potentially taking the company private. The Securities and Exchange Commission is inquiring about a tweet from Tesla CEO Elon Musk regarding the potential for the company to go private, The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg reported this week. An inquiry from the SEC does not necessarily mean an investigation will follow. But if the agency determines one is necessary, it will start by looking at a tweet Musk posted on Tuesday, Harvey Pitt, a securities attorney and former SEC Chairman, said.

Easiest short in history once this came out and the stock popped to $380. Let the lawsuits commence.

Elon may be a brilliant idea guy, but he's a terrible CEO.

I think it’s way too dangerous to do a cash security short sale on TSLA, but options can work.

I agree — terrible business manager.

The methodical and ongoing success of SpaceX suggests to me that he has a professional business manager running that company.

Good luck with that lawsuit against Elon Musk.

You're going to need money, lots of it. And Twitter is a social network; it is permissible to lie, to promote, to say pretty much anything. I don't know all their rules and what laws applied but from reading here and there it's a real zoo out there, perfect place for wild animals running free out of their cages.

Anyone surprised by Elon Musk having expectation?
Obviously Saudi Arabia is interested by Tesla, the electric car company.
They could probably supply the funds necessary for Tesla to go private, of course they could, and they would too...it's in their very best interest. And that, was why the tweet about private Tesla.
I remember very well the interview of Elon with Saudi Arabia; one of the most interesting interviews I've ever seen. You see who's in real control in that interview; a lesson in calmness from reality check between power, money, energy, future, ideas, ...all what's best for mankind.

Who didn't see this one coming?

Saudi Arabia is your daddy.

I have a friend who is a contractor with KSA....needed 20M LOC, no problem. Some U.S. billionaires wanted 10 over prime...needless to say KSA was easier to do business with.

Hi Roger,

Saudi Arabia can afford the best universities, the best teachers, the best of everything. So I'm not surprised.

To deal with tact and impact is to deal with only the best, the rock solid assets.
We don't need a rocket scientist to explain it to us. :b

Elon sure is a funny guy; he uses Twitter @ his best advantage, with serious ramifications.
If they try to stop him they'll screw their own economic positions. That's only one way to view it from above.

If I was him I wouldn't take Schiit from nobody. Tesla going private with the financial aid from Saudi Arabia to secure that deal, is like a fine balancing act in this investment/energy world and the future.
You don't fool around with Elon; he'll fool with you before you can even think.
If past is a gauge of future history; it's best to have rock solid allies than rock solid enemies.

I don't know how many here follow Tesla, Elon Musk and the price per share.
If you don't want to read sick stories please don't subscribe to Twitter.
I won't even mention the latest because it might shake your zone of comfort a little about the company you like to invest in and the man behind. I have zero clue if Elon was on acid when he tweeted last week, zero.

This though is no joke: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/15/sec...la-with-a-subpoena-after-elon-musks-take.html

And you don't need to read professional articles regarding Saudi Arabia in helping Tesla to go private.
If this is true it goes in the total opposite direction of Elon Musk's main life philosophy.
I don't need to draw a picture. If like me it is a subject of great interest you've already read the most important articles.

I sure will keep following this because it has a large impact on the future.

Bob,

There is nothing complicated here; hold the conspiracy theory; this is very simple. The short-sellers work for themselves and for the investors in their investment funds.
