Hi,

I think my VPI Classic 3 is due for an upgrade, I'm looking for obviously better sound, but also a tonearm that is much more precise. I will probably buy used, 2 arms are appealing, or easy cartridge swaps. I have extra VPI arm wands but truthfully don't swap them out much because getting the sound adjusted always takes longer than expected. I definitely like the hold down ring on the VPI but am also considering vacuum. I listen to Rock and its variants almost exclusively, so figure vocal, drum, bass, and guitar/piano on most lp's Figure go up to 20k retail. I'm looking at tables like Clear audio, Palmer, TW, Origin, Acoustic signature, Amazon GR etc. I honestly cant hear them all so thoughts and advice would be appreciated. Especially any comparisons to my current table. The table will be placed on a scuttle rack. I run Naim NAC52/NAP300DR/DV XV1T/Lamm lp2/Vivid Giya G3.

Thanks Jeff

There is a Grand Prix Monaco on Agon for 10k. Add a tonearm.

I have been looking at that, also a graham phantom 2. Any thoughts on the differences between the three setups?

The Grand Prix Monaco or the new Grand Prix Parabolica. You'll likely the find the Grand Prix has more drive, power, resolution and quietness than most anything out there. It's unique direct drive and vibration control are quite special.
