Anyone have experience with the 2018 CRV turbo, going up a hill? 190hp isnt much but it has a CVT and develops torque very early. I am curious if it'll pull 80mph up a hill with two passengers without acting like it is giving it all.

The controls and esp larger touch screen are appealing. AWD is a must for snow. MPG is awesome. Heated non-leather seats (EX)... The list goes on why it seems like the compact SUV to go with.

In contrast the Rav4 has the smallest touch screen ever. It has 175hp with 6 speed AWD. No turbo option. It will simply not pull up a hill at 80mph without a fuss. The 2009 Rav4 I drive during winter has 175hp but is on/off 4wd, and so it had more brake HP, and the performance driving in MT, doing 75 mph was a bit fussy except on flatground. That makes a lower brake HP not that appealing. Toyota puts zero developmemt into the Rav4 because they sell like hotcakes. If they had the 200hp 8 or 10 speed transmission with AWD then maybe the Rav4 would be more worth considering, and a touch screen bigger than a cellphones'.
