Philips taperecorders pics info soundquality?

Ps brings me to another point if there is system where such a vintage recorder would fit right in it would be yours .
Vintage Horns , top of the line lamm , i bet it would sound awesome .

The guy who had the EL 3501 sold it unfortunately , if i find another for an okay price i ll buy it ,.
More on the short list are telefunken M 21 , the last studiotaperecoder telefunken made , a bit sober ( german looking ) .
The flip switch for spooling is great /tapehandling , M 15 A sounds great but i would like to try this one

It would fit nicely but only as a decorative item, I don't own a tape collection and given the current pricing and availability of interesting titles, I don't see myself with a tape collection anytime soon :).

David - you should get in touch with the General (who just joined the forum) as he has a pro Philips tape deck (amongst many others).
