I thought i might be interesting to know if anybody tried it and what were the results ?

I do talk mastertapequality here no copies :
" The best recorded music i have is done by an amateur , he had a couple of mikes and a small mixing console , from the equipment he used it looked quite primitive .
Makes me wonder what one could achieve himself , id love to record a good drumset ( dynamics ) , or an acoustic guitar / piano , dont have to be promusicians , some amateurs /hobbiests play excelllent.
Just get a good stereomike postion record and see how it sounds"

I think it would be nice if you tell us what are the tapes you are using as a reference.

The tapes are BASF tapes and per 528 broadcast tapes , im in belgium now cant look up the BASF type .
Or do you wanna know the non existing label :D, remember these are amateur or broadcast studio recordings.

What you want to hear , that your digital is better sounding? no problem fine with me
