I had the pleasure of paying Bernd Hemmen of Primary Control a visit at his Amsterdam workshop as a 'Solypsa meets the maker' day. His creations are so elegantly simple in appearance that the level of detail and thought that go into them isn't always apparent, so I snapped a few pics of the parts waiting to be built (with permission of course). The finished table (playing a Gravity arm and Atlas cart)

More to follow (have to compress a few pics)

A good time to be a DD fan.
The Kinea, new Technics SP10R/1000R, GP Monaco and Parabolica.
The Kinea is on a fairly short shortlist if I move past my rim drive tt.

What is exciting is the sound. One of my favorite disks at home is John Lurie 'the resurrection of Albert Ayler' which I often use when doing turntable setup. Bernd had a copy and it sounded fab- resolving the spacial cues and somewhat chaotic sections wonderfully.
This sounded great too

Bobbi, have you heard the Kinea?
It’s a natural choice for me if I ever upgrade my current analog.

The Technics 1200G also features a coreless motor and a relatively heavy 6.5lbs platter. Should it also be a competitor to the Torqueo and Kinea ?
