New to this forum. This is my first post.

Santa gave this to my son this year. Howard Massey: "The Great British Recording Studies."

Its an interesting read. One thing that stands out: yes there were Altecs and later on JBLs but
the by far dominating monitor in the London studios were 15" Tannoys. Often driven by Radford
amps. Every day I hear why.

Btw, the reds were considered better than the golds. And silvers maybe even better.
This correlates with my experience: the modern tannoys dont hold a candle to the old ones.
