We finished watching the last of the 7 episodes of Godless on Netflix the other night and I have to say if was a rewarding viewing experience. The acting across the board was excellent. Jeff Daniels was evil. Michelle Dockery showed she can deliver much more than we saw in Downton Abby or Good Behavior. Jack O'Connell delivered his second fine performance in 2017 (also in Tulip Fever) as Roy Goode.
Frank Griffin, an outlaw terrorizing the 1880s American West, hunts down Roy Goode, his partner turned enemy. Roy hides out at a ranch as Frank's chase leads him to La Belle, New Mexico - a town mysteriously made up almost entirely of women.
We both enjoyed how they took their time as they peeled back the storyline a layer at a time.
