It makes a return in The Last Jedi, and its real-life counterpart is Skellig Michael, located near the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. Filming is said to have taken place in additional locations in Ireland, including Ceann Sibeal, Malin Head, and Brow Head."

My dear Natasha (Lomas - the author), I see your point. But there is a flip side to that coin, and that's a big flip...Disney's investment and the gargantuan source of future revenues. Star Wars films are not only entertainment, they are future provisions. The Last Jedi is only the last of the new beginning.
