I am blessed to get one of these rare as hen teeth portable RTR's. All electronics gone through, repro improved, stellavox scrape flutter roller option and NOS Nortronics repro head. Sounds really good for such a small and portable deck. Runs on rechargeable NiCad AA'S and AC with the charging adaptor. Thank you Santa Stellavox !!! :D

Pics and a short video clip. The picture with a switch and a red dot is for IEC or NAB playback EQ selection.

Nice!

I have images in my head of you wearing this on your chest at a Grateful Dead concert boom in hand Christian. Man, would that have been cool! :D

This is just like Chad’s. It’s a fun novelty and handy for off site demo’s.

congrats Christian, that's audio porn if anything is. and sounds great too.

I had a pristene Nagra T and Nagra IV-S back a few years (before I had to unload them to fund other stuff), similar jewel like gear. only I think the Stella sounds better.

Thanks Mike. It was one of those guilty pleasure purchases I could not resist.

managing the reel changes even at 7 ips for an entire 3 hour performance is challenging to say the least. Betty Cantor was amazing when she did it for the Dead in the mid to late seventies.

Dear Tang,

I owned a 'T' for about 6 months in 2011. it is quite the beautiful piece. but I would caution you that getting parts and repairs is a real challenge so be careful; and stock it's not a great performer. a clean ATR-102 or another A-820 are both better performing and more reliable choices. but the 'T' is a very sexy thing.

best regards,

Mike

There is something about having a truck..a first for me. I like how it shares similar engine displacement with my F12 Berlinetta although it only has 8 cylinders ;)
