I have Superior model 1280 tube tester which seems to be in good working condition. I recently have made it a point to test all the tubes I have but I'm not sure I'm getting accurate readings?

I started with 6V6s and triple check everything is set right but I'm getting readings in the .7-.8 milliamperes for tubes I know are good and .5 or less milliamperes for tubes I know are bad. I've tested over a dozen with these consecutive readings. Everywhere else says I should be getting in the .3 range on good 6V6s. I assume I'm doing something wrong so please help!
