My 1976 Luxman TT with vacuum hold down just died, and I want to replace it.

I am looking for a new (for me) turntable. No usb or built-in pre pre amp, please! It doesn't have to be brand new, just in excellent shape. It can be completely manual,or automatic start and end but I do need at least a tone arm pick up, since I can be a little clumsy. I will have a budget of $500 or under (retired, and still fixing up my new home). Any advice is appreciated.
