Marc et al Happy New Year... thought of this thread when I read another glowing review of the DCS Network Bridge.

http://www.hifiplus.com/articles/dcs-network-bridge/

From memory in a review of the bridge by Michael Lavorgna at Audiostream he said the DCS was giving him broadley as good sound in his system as he had heard and note that he had the SGM server in it previously for review.

Might just relieve the straingauge strain for the year ahead... have a good one.

Hello Marc, the final 432EVO Master model is finally released in its final form as announced in Munich where the end of the Fall 2017 was put forward.
At 9000£ it is a server that sits on the top of the pyramid integrating :
a host of filters (or bit perfect to make life simple) for upsampling and deblur;
allowing to play Roon/Tidal/Qobuz;
4TB of HDD (suspended on spring system, SDD giving too much HF radiation according to designer);
on-board ripping facility;
separate chassis for power supply with 3 transformers inside for maximum separation;
separate DC supplies to PCU, USB and superclock ( a fourth one just for the HDD is in the making);
possible remote factory-access for problem solving and conducting upgrades;
plays DSD;
etc

Hence, no need for a separate NAS or each time setting up your computer to rip CD's you have or might be receiving in the future. The unit can be left on 24/7 as it never will overheat.
It was, at the very beginning of its development, tested against a substantially more expensive server... result was no difference could be heard!

I would also look at the tech in the Lauferteknik Memory Player 64. It has the most different software approach to the pack. Their attack on jitter and timing/flow challenges is unique, to say the least.
