As many of you are aware, Mexico had a quite strong earthquake last Sep 19 at 1:19 PM. The earthquake was felt and damaged seven states in the country, with more damage in the states of Oaxaca and Morelos, rated at 6.1 Richter Scale.

Problem here was its acceleration factor, since it was originated not that far from the earth surface (60 Kms) - current numbers are: 346 casualties in seven states, more than 4,000 buildings compromised and huge losses in building and house contents (even some audio friends experienced some damage or loss in audio equipment).

Electricity is back all over the country, and currently on phase 2 (reconstruction) once phase 1 (rescue) is over after 72 hours of the main event, more than 70 replicas have been registered but barely felt among this states.

Mexico City received a large impact due to its size and inhabitants, citizens jumped out to the streets to help, so more than 12 countries, including of course the USA, France, Israel and many Latin american countries.

Our prayers are now for those still suffering and in the path for reconstruction, which might take years to finish.

Solidarity and prayers go to the heart of the people of Mexico, to the so many who are affected in so many ways, in particular to all the families who lost loved ones.

Fernando, we feel deeply in our prayers from our heart and spirit, we are all family and we grieve with you all.

I traveled many states of Mexico, including Mexico City, Oaxaca and Morelos.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Thing are going back to normal, but full recovery will take years since many buildings (+4000) suffered from some kind of damage, final casualties are close to 400 (pretty far from the last big earthquake in the 80s where we had almost 9,000 casualties at that time).

Mexico received a lot of help from different countries this last time as well, including from our USA and Canada neighbors, as well as from other countries such as Japan, Israel, UK, France and most LATAM countries.

Thank you all!

I maybe wrong but isn't a large part of Mexico City built on reclaimed landfill known to be very susceptible to tremors.

Indeed - Mexico City is built upon a dried lake and hence subject to daily minor earthquakes, and some other cities along the San Andreas fault. We receive a major one every 25 years or so.
