Very very impressed David, I love the corner detail on side supports. You have a phenomenal minimalist design ethic, Mies would be proud.

Seems like there is never a first mover advantage in high end audio.

Fantastic looking rack, David, congratulations! And the high mass rules :) !

The black shelves are carbon steel with stainless as option, the rest is all stainless. Design is completely modular, there are 3 different shelf heights you can pick and choose any combination up to 5 shelves and modify at any point in time in the future too. You can even split the rack into two all you need is a set of the short bars with feet and caps for the plate, there's no obsolescence with the Nothing :)! I'm traveling now and don't have any good pictures just some I took with the phone but this will give you an idea of what it is.

David, I happened to click on the link in your signature and came across these two photos of your American Sound turntable. I noticed the two rubber drive belts and then saw from the next photograph that you have a flywheel attached. I do not see this feature in your new AS2000. Is it not necessary in the new design? In addition to stabilizing the speed, I would think that the equal force of the belt pulling in the opposite direction would be good for an equal load on the bearing. My SME table has a rubber band applying an equal force in the opposite direction on the platter support, but that might be for the suspension to work properly. Can you talk a bit about this subject and why you don't have such a flywheel on the new table?

More vintage cart fun on the SME3012R/AS2000 combo. Decca FFSS Pattern mount carts. They require an adaptor to work on SME arms. I can't wait for this to arrive. Newly cleaned and tested by John Wright in the UK...Mr Decca. I have a sizable Decca FFSS (SXL) collection. This is the elliptical diamond Decca FFSS Mark 3 moving iron. It tracks at 2 grams and has 6 mV output I believe...

Custom D2 style SME to FFSS adaptor in CF and a finger lift which the SME OEM didn't have.

Just finished my Decca FFSS pattern mount cart collection. Since the Mk3 version, I have just acquired Mk2 (spherical stylus) and Mark4 (Elliptical). All have been gone through by John Wright. I can't wait to spin my Decca collection with them. Here are the Mk2 pics:
