I have had the Von Schweikert E-3MkII speakers for quite some time now and I love them. Now that we are in a new house my listening room is much larger. I brought home the VSA Endeavor 5's last night. I guess I wasn't thinking about getting the speakers 3 stories down to the listening room. Grr....
I know now that there is no way I could get ULTRA 9's into my room.

These are a little taller than the E-3MkII's

Nice. I bet they sounds great. That Audio Alchemy Gear was a great combo with the smaller 3's. I am sure the 5's kick butt too with them.

I've been down with a bad bug for a couple of weeks now. Three days ago, I decided to get my surplus stuff and set up a system in the bedroom since the system that was there was bought. Luckily I still have a demo pair of E-3s and I strapped them on to an Atlas Signature Amp that was traded in, an old BAT VK-31 SE that I've had for ages, a W20 and a TechDAS D7i Supreme. The pre and amp I must say seem to have not aged a single bit. Seriously good kit that are certified best buys on the used market. Makes me wonder how good the current models are. Still, these are great. Great enough that I consider selling them at the blue book prices a personal loss for me. So, here they stay under my ownership. I figured, what the hell, so I had our CMS show racks (PXK, Black Platinum and Sapphire) racks set up by my henchmen Den and Dennis. Sadly my Calypso had developed a bad soft start relay but the local dealer picked it up and is getting to work on it right away. VK-31 it is.

Aside from boredom this was triggered when I was really down and played with some ADAM monitors to investigate a question posted by Myles on his forum. Basically, why DCD's Into the Labyrinth sounds boring on some systems and not others. Knowing I've got almost the entire DCD catalog on the W20, I figured why not just go for it.

Well, NOT BORING. :D.

Soooooo, thanks on a great design you crazy Pirate Viking. You still owe me the bolts for these as this pair is from the batch of Mk1 Betas you sent out to me and Cor. Has it been that long?

Dang, the Mk1s have aged gracefully as well!

Now finish Our boy Blue and get to work on that secret thing we were talking about (Insert Evil Laughter here)

See you guys soon! I better get an invite when I find myself in SoCAL.

Are you kidding me? I would be so bummed if you didn't come spend some time with me if you were here. Bring a bathing suit for the boat:) We will have Stevie come over. DCD is definitely not boring on my setup.

I think my daughter is getting old enough now where I can get a TT soon.

What secret? (evil laughter back at ya lol)
