I will play the music referenced in the review and listen to see if I agree with the descriptions of the reviewer.
I often do that , tidal comes in handy finding the music
The biggest issue with most rooms I visit is the bass .. not so easy to get it right.

One thing that many Audiophiles seem to forget when placing a microscope on reviewers rooms and personal references is that reviewing audio equipment isn't exactly a high paying job. There are a few reviewers that seem to be bathing in cash somehow but they are certainly not the majority.

A perfectly treated room chalked full of SOA gear is BIG money to most of the world and its more likely then not, the readers have better setups then the reviewers unless the reviewer is being given gear for free on loaner forever in return for advertising sound bits.
