Hi all
I am new to this forum and i have been snooped some time around.
I've got one Lyrec TR-16 but it is a MONO full track and it came without electronics!
My question is: Can I fit other STEREO 2 track tape heads, preferably from that era? If yes which could pass? And of course, the second question is if I can make only a playback machine, which playback preamp is the most preferably in the terms of sound quality? Of course "copy" some classic schematic!
Thanks
Spiros

The Nortronics "B" case heads will fit - 9200 series was their pro line. Do a search on tape playback electronics/schematics.

I will look for those head's at ebay. Do you know if it is any other sourse to buy them?
It seam they made head's för Ampex? Maybe Ampex preamp is suited well.
