Brian Berdan, of Audio Element in Pasadena, California, was demonstrating the Wilson Audio Yvette speakers ($25,500) driven by Vacuum Tube Logic MB-450 Signature Series III auto-biasing, 400 watt monoblock tube amplifiers ($22,500 per pair). The VTL TL-6.5 Line Preamplifier ($15,000) and the VTL TP-2.5 Phonostage (prototype) (price TBD) provided pre-amplification.
To play records Brian was using the AMG Giro Special Edition 5th Anniversary ($17,500), with the Benz LPS cartridge ($6,000). For digital Brian was displaying the dCS Rossini Digital Player/DAC ($28,499) and the dCS Rossini Clock ($7,499).

In addition to catching up with Brian it was a treat to see Bea Lam and Luke Manley, the owners of Vacuum Tube Logic, and to introduce them to my wife. I have loved my VTL amplifiers for many years now!
Brian was making great music with this system, as he does every year. The Wilson Audio Yvette is a great way to join the Wilson Audio “family.”
If you have never met Brian you should visit Audio Element in Pasadena. He is extremely knowledgeable about all things high-end audio, and he is one of the friendliest and most down-to-earth dealers in the industry.
