Hi guys,

The LA Show is almost here, and I'm picking tracks to put on our music servers.

So, any suggestions for music that I should bring? Specific artists/albums/tracks? I usually try to cover a wide variety of genres, but some genres are harder for me, since I'm not particularly fond of, like blues... So, any suggestions?

cheers,
alex

DON'T play solo female vocalists either accompanied or unaccompanied by instruments,

Keith,

Thanks!
I've just got that Max Richter, "Three Worlds", in hi-res:

This one should be fun!
Now I've got to find that Mahler in hi-res too...

Syntax,

Subtle hint for the showgoers, uh? :)

A few suggestions, not exhaustive:

Jeff Beck, Live at Ronnie Scott's
The Who, Who's Next
some solo violin, like "The Art of Violin" on the Yarlung label
Miles Davis, Bitches' Brew
McLaughlin, Di Meola, DeLucia, Friday Night in San Francisco (exciting, dynamic acoustic guitar trio)
Olivier Messiaen, movements 6, 7, 8, 9 from Eclairs sur l'au dela
Proteus 7 ?– For Your Ears Only, brass

and yes, one or two female vocalists with little accompaniment: I have nothing against that music, as long as there is diversity of music offerings

Kirk Whalum, Norman Brown, Rick Braun. Yes, I like jazz. You might want to throw some pop into the mix also (although I don't listen to much pop/rock).
