Market analysts they all can go look for Easter eggs ...

Of course nobody could have foreseen the wild frenzy, that's why here @ WBF we have some of the smartest visionaries. And we learn from them, and we tank them too for their free good advice.

Me what I learned the most is no matter how independent you want to run a business there will always be hackers in the most private transactions.

So, where is bitcoin going from here? Nowhere good but more chaos into financial apocalypse. Would that be fair enough to say.

and the sad part is you can't short it optimally.

i remember shorting GLD years ago in a similar vein. remember Gold $3,000 forecasts? lol.

Ya bought March puts on Deribit December 7th and just rolled my profits into the Junes but the spreads, time value and volatility premiums are deadly. At least the exchange actually delivered my bitcoins profits properly at expiry. I was actually surprised.

Higher. If you watched it was pumped deliberately. But it stopped because confidence needs to be restored before surging high again. It'll probably go down after rising a lot, but be higher than other down points.

End of April 2018 and bitcoin is still alive...amazing!

And who was that who said it would hit $100,000 by year's end?
They don't talk anymore about those two twin brothers, I wonder why.
In the morning when I open the newspaper, in the financial section, there is no more mention of bitcoin (ripcoin), only remnants of miners in some small towns ripping everyone else of their cheap electricity. So the utility companies are raising their electric bills, to everyone. Who ends up paying for the bitcoin miners? ...Us, you and I...that's who. ...Tesla drivers.

still lower highs, lower lows...breaking 7300 was pretty bad technically. still think a date with 5k is in the cards.

BTC has been rallying on declining volume...no bueno. but at some point you'll see a big reversal on huge volume - that will put the bottom in for awhile.

To me, the numbers mean dick; the whole thing is a corrupt scam like a Russian roulette @ the casino, like a Russian coaster ride @ the circus, like a gang of Russian hackers in disguise @ the zoo.

+1

I am a HODLer, but the BTC chart is one of the ugliest charts I’ve ever seen for any asset in my entire life. Actual technical support may be around $1,900.

It's a scam and an environmental disaster.

How anyone can support a scheme that is currently using the same amount of electricity as a small European country is beyond me. What's the line? When does the madness stop? When BC requires the sacrifice of of a dozen babies to get a coin? JFC people... we're already seeing massive issues due to climate change, eliminating BC and all "mined" cryptos would be a massive benefit to humanity. The only pros are right from conspiracy theories. Seeing this is one massive reason why we're probably doomed as a species... short term gain over all else. F#$k the younger generation and all your own kids too? Really?

It's a scam and an environmental disaster . . .

1) Please explain in detail the scam to which you refer.

2) Aren’t bitcoin miners paying for their electricity demand, just like every other local power company customer? So there is no uncompensated negative externality.

Aren’t you just making a personal value judgment that you don’t like the use to which the electricity is being applied?

Of course I am. IMO and many others it is an environmental disaster.

Your response seems intentionally ignorant therefore I'll decline to engage. If I'm wrong about that you need to do some research on your own. I'm not here to do research others should have already done before forming opinions and investing money.
