Near Atlanta, GA but not too near!
Thinking about putting your Christmas gifts in your luggage while you travel ? Do you keep important/valuable items in your luggage when you leave your hotel room with the suitcase zipped and locked? Do you think you are safe doing so?

As Lee Corso, on College Game Day, would say : "Not so fast, my friend"

If you've locked your keys inside your car, you can use your cell phone to open the door. Call home and ask your wife, etc. to get the spare set of keys with the remote opener fob. Have them hold the fob very close to the phone while they push the "unlock" button. You hold your cell phone very close to the car and the lock will open. The signal is transmitted over the phone and played to the car's receiver.

There are people out there working diligently to hack, circumvent, and overcome many of the locks and obstacles we've created to deter criminals. Some of this info can come in handy for law-abiding folks as well.

That's interesting. I received that data from a lieutenant in the State Police. I'll test it out (with spare keys available!) and report back when I get the chance. Thanks for pointing this out.

I would be shocked if it worked Lee. These use RF transmitters and there is no way the cell phone can relay the signal.
