VW got caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

They need lots of ads like this to try and make Americans forget the mpg scam they pulled.

I just worked on a VW spot. The newly-coined parlance the client and agency are using is that VW is "repositioning" itself, and everyone is very closely adhering to that script.

Or, what you said. And not just for Americans. This is world wide.

They didn't steal, they found a clever way to fool the emission testing equipment while delivering more power no one I know was upset about it. Better still are the deals they offered VW owners after they got caught, it was a win win for the customer :)!
