Adding sub: should I add single or dual subs?

    Hi guys,
I am contemplating adding subwoofers. Should I go with a dual or single sub? Intention is to crossover at 36hz where my speakers tail off. Looking at single rythmik E15 or dual rythmik f12.

Depending on your room size, have you considered 2 subs, left and right. I have that config in my system and it works out wonderfully.

Go with the two f12 subs.

The room response will be smoother.

Dual. I modify Rhythmic amplifiers (for people) and they're a great option; better than most subwoofers at any price level.

If this is a two channel room with a single sweet spot, then two is the right number (NOT one). If it is also used for HT, the answer can be a much larger number, depending on room size.

As for brands, there is more than one option.

What other brands would you suggest I consider?

REL; JL Audio; Seaton Sound; I am sure there are more but I have heard each of those paired with very high end speakers (Wilson, Magico, Martin Logan, etc) and each was incredible.

That said, proper integration with your mains (room position, delay and trim settings, EQ, etc) will ultimately determine if you are pleased with the sound. Any of those mentioned with proper integration will work spectacularly.
