Have had a C-J PV11 / C-J MF200 ( 25 + yr old 200 watt SS amp) driving a pr of Mirage M5's for decades in a B room. The amp failed recently and in the process of Fedex it back to C-J the faceplate corner was bent. The face plate cannot be replaced and C-J will not try to bend it back ( well - I didn't ask if the cold do the best they could and just live with it..) FedEx offered $1100.00 and salvage the amp while C-J has offered to credit me and sell me a new Classic60SE for $2500 and keep my amp. Mirage's sensitivity is approx Sensitivity 86 dB/w/m.
I don't need much volume but I'm not sure if the Classic 60SE is adequate on the M5s so want to know if anyone has speaker recommendation. I could also get the old MF200 repaired and bend the corner back myself to good enough but maybe a change would be good. thanks
