Nobody said this was going to be cheap....ordered the equipment racks. I'm going to split up the amplifiers with 4 per cabinet , 2 6 channel and 2 2 channel per.....

The 3415 Bass units with 8 15 inch drivers will be bridged using 16 of the 24 channels of the 6 channel amps. That will leave me with 8 channels...4 for the 2 subs, 4 for the 4 surrounds. The 8 channels using the 2 channel amps...6 channels will drive the horn cabinets, 2 channels for the front center.... Using all 32 channels. 6 x200w horns =1200w ,1 center = 1500w, 4 surrounds = 2400w, 2 subs x 1200w = 2400w, 8 bass drivers x 1200w = 9600w for a total of 17,100 watts...but will never get close to that output.
I also ordered 2 pair of QSC SR-1290's for the mid ,rear channels and 1 single for the front center channel. Cabinet maker comes Tuesday.

I talked to my cinema tech today about the digital signal out from the 9000 Panasonic server to my HDMI switcher, then into the QSC DCP digital input. What I will have is 192Khz audio. I also can switch over to my Sony UBP X1100 ES player. The Panasonic uses a 32 bit processor. The QSC DCP300 is straight through on the digital side. The cable will be 2 DB25 AES/EBU x FJ45 AES/EBU with 8 channels of digital audio.

I picked up one of these today, or a option to buy. It is brand new and a cost of 1/5th what they sell for.
They require a license i believe to use the software. But they have everything I would need including Dirac live.
Anybody use one? BE6D2831-5D25-4E7C-9101-31C5484C8DD1.png

I had a lot of auditions with Datasat with Dirac and auro3d. For multichannel it was brilliant

I have heard the same thing. The Dirac feature is what I want, though I need to do some more research. The price was right and it was NIB with software. I don't think I'll be able to run the Auro3D....anyway I'll have the QSC and this. Being a gear junkie is tough.

I might have to expand the system,as I can add a Auro3D key. The system would be 9.1 Auro3D.....Nice video....
Also HDMI 2.0 and 2.2 cards are available

Some HT gear arrived today....
A pair of Fostex T500mkII tweeters
and the Barco AP24-3D processor

My MKIII’s won’t be here till June, but now I can have the horn cabinets made as I now have all the pieces. I have decided on solid walnut as the assembly should weigh about 200 lbs a piece. Each 4 way speaker should weigh 500+ pounds each.

I think it's amazing what I can find on the web during lot's of time because of the stay @ home edict. I have 8 JSX amps and just found this article, the part on grounding I found really interesting. Maybe Caesar should ask....what benefits more digital or analog from grounding?

"JSX also has an electrolytic grounding system that can take ground impedance to nearly zero, according to director of advanced technology Aaron Reiff. In a system the company recently installed, he measured "only a fraction of an ohm" resistance between system ground and earth ground, something that can take the perceived noise floor into true darkness. A visit to the company's lab is in the near future; look here for a follow-up report."

I wish JSX was still in business....looks like they were cutting edge to me.

As side note I now have 4 Fulton FMI 100's and the plan is to use them as RR & LR and PsychR(RF) & PsychL(LF) channels. For a 4 channel setup I needed four identical speakers and now I have them. I will setup my 2 Crown CX844 decks and will be able to play my quad tape collection. I can use my C200 preamp with my Sony quad interface or acquire a Marantz 4400...lots of ways to go.
The Fultons were the first high end speakers I ever heard. They can completely disappear and that's what I want. The 100's use a RTR 10 inch woofer and 4 Peerless MT225 super tweeters. Another interesting thing about the crossover in these is that Fulton used 2 SS581 Ford starter relays in the circuit. I'm not getting any younger..so finish it now so I might be able to enjoy it for as long as I'm around.

I was lucky enough to find 4 Peerless MT24CT tweeters. They are OEM to the Fulton speakers and really hard to find.

I just found your post from 2017 showing your Fulton FMI-100s which are used in your home theater system. I too have a couple of pairs of this model as well as other models, including the big J Modular.

It's been decades since I moved on from Fulton speakers in my main audio system, where I currently use big Apogee ribbons, but I too use FMI speakers in my video system (the smaller 80s). I thought I was the only one with a Fulton home theater. I had to chuckle. And I too have Crown decks for recording (CX822 and a tube 822). Fulton loved his Crown decks and made some nice-sounding LPs with them..

By the way, the actual tweeter that Fulton used was the Peerless MT 225 HFC (in 8 ohms), not the MT 24CT. The former has an extended high-frequency response and despite being an ordinary-looking little cone, it is actually a very neutral sounding tweeter.

Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your main discussion about TAD horns. Peerless_tweeter_response curves.jpg

Hi Brian,
We do like the same equipment. My love of Fulton and Crown started when I was in high school, many moons ago.
I did purchase the correct Peerless tweeters and sold the MT 24CT's. I have incorporated the FMI 100's into my 2 channel system using all 4 for the psychoacoustics and they are perfect....and I can't forget my Fulton Little Maestro's that are in the circuit also...6 Fulton's.
Our mutual friend Chuck has sure helped me with my Crowns. I almost bought your C822 but pulled back. Though I now have the 822 and 824 thanks to Chuck.
I'm always looking for Crown and Fulton gear....never can go wrong.
Chime in anytime....
