Legendary Jazz Guitarist Larry Coryell, 'Godfather of Fusion,' Dies at 73

Several tracks available if you play at YouTube.

That's a nice one Ray. You are familiar with Larry, and friends, ...John Abercrombie?
You remember your early Jazz years? ...@ the dawn of purple, white, pink, tangerine.
...The college years, the beginning of the art of mastering the colors...

No, not really familiar with Coryell or Abercrombie. I've probably sampled them but not been enthused enough to pursue them.

I have the Three Guitars CD because I'm familiar with Badi Assad and her brothers Sergio and Odair.

Sad news indeed. Have to dig out some old disc and lp's.

If you want to marvel in and be mesmerised by his immortal dexterity, imagination, subtlety but also explosiveness (when musically demanded), listen to "The Restful Mind" (Vanguard) and "Twin-House" (Elektra). Cheers, Kostas.
