One thing I appreciate about both Blades is their dimensional presentation. But listening to the Reference 1, which is otherwise fine, the music was playing below my ears. It was odd. The Reference 1, 3 and 5 was made so all the midrange/tweeter drivers are at the same height. Given the flat on-axis response of the UniQ, I am not sure why the line was designed that way.
I am extrapolating some because I have not heard the three or fives.
