Doesn't this run against one of our other ways of thinking that a clean power amp allows valve preamp musicality to shine through unadulterated by the power amp (e.g., Marty VTL preamp into Spectral power amps)?

The Berning already has valves in it - it has clean valves, with harmonics, which do not create the muddiness or color that some of the other valve preamps do
