Red Oaks – Official Trailer | Amazon Video
There is such an abundance of wonderful shows that are streamed in so many ways that make for enjoyment to the viewer. Case in point is Red Oaks which is streamed via Amazon Prime (which IMO for $99/year is a bargain).
My good friend marty turned me onto this show a few days ago and it is truly addicting. Two seasons are already in the can with 10 episodes per season each at 30 minutes or less. There are parts in this series that will have you peeing in your pants as it is so funny.
Set in suburban New Jersey in 1985, Red Oaks centers around college student David Meyers—a young man at a crossroads as he tries to figure out who he is and what he wants to be in this world. He gets a summer job as an assistant tennis pro at the Red Oaks Country Club and while there, David finds himself the recipient of unsolicited life advice from a colorful group of coworkers and club members on his journey of self-discovery.
The cast is terrific from young to old. There are so many things in this series that will remind everyone of that time in the mid 80's
We started 2 days ago and have already finished Season one and plan on finishing season 2 this weekend
Paul Reiser is wonderful in his role which takes place at a Jewish Country Club where staff and members are all hitting on one another with scenes so funny that you can't stop laughing
This one is highly recommended and thanks to marty for the tip.
Two thumbs up....way up
