I believe I read somewhere that a replacement set of crates for the Magicos was at least $1K. Doesn't surprise me after seeing the monster that my S3's were delivered in.

I can believe that. The S5 crates are even bigger - they are 90x72x153cm and weight 170kg each !

I believe Magico and Wilson have the best shipping containers.

The (unnamed) were delivered in seven sturdy large crates ...

Is that a picture of two sets of S5 v2, or does each S5 v2 come in one crate? I guess I will find out as, supposedly, my S5 v2 are supposed to ship this week.

Better than Tidal and Goldmund?

What do there there shipping containers look like?

I think its better to have two containers of less weight then it is to have one massive one of massive weight. I think the delivery dudes who broke their dolly while dropping off my S3's would agree with me also. The ass end of the delivery van looked like snoop dogs six fo :)

Which shipper do they use, that would so nicely arrange the boxes, and strip off any shipping labels, and sand down any scuffs and dings, for a perfect photo-op?

That is what it looks like. I was there getting my S5s fixed after an 'incident'. Never again. :)

I would have to put Rockports up there. Their crates are not made of just wood, but plywood with chamfered edges. It made the crate for my Boulder amp look cheap.

How can you possibly state this with any confidence without having inspected all mfr.s packaging?

Also, I'm a bit surprised they use 1 tie wrap per caster. In the unfortunate situation where 1 (or more) breaks you have trouble. I'd think Magico would double tie wrap it or use a much heavier one.

Speakers are beautiful btw..:)
