Carl, it's amazing today what awesome picture experience we can have for almost a bag of chips.
But all the stuff you/we have now you/we are going to drive it @ the junkyard eventually, when 8K takes over and everything else that comes with it.

Quantum Dot, MicroLED, ...HDR10+, HLG, advanced Dolby Vision, linear power supplies, High Frame Rate, ...our next TVs are going to wipe out everything we own today. The only way to be happy is to live with what we don't have but wish we could. :b

If humor didn't exist in life someone would invent it. ...And the patent for it would restrict access to all except the ones living outside its boundaries. :b

I watched few episodes of Lost in Space recently on Netflix. ...Two or three; I gave up...not my cup of tea, acting wise, etc. Sure, the picture looks nice, but there's no soul.

First two episodes are good, last three are exciting with great CGI and opticals. The in between episodes are so so, but it gets better toward the end.

The first episode was new, so I watched the second episode to go deeper.
I was less than impressed after the second but I gave it a chance and started the third one; @ roughly half way through the third I quit. Maybe I'll check the last one, maybe.

The picture quality is very good though. I remember watching the original series on TV.
