Why the More Activity button is not working?

When we press it, we are always returned to the more recent post. I tried it with Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome.

It has been this way for a long time and is very frustrating.

Yes, it's been like that for well over a year, maybe two. Other sites running vBulletin work fine.

Wouldn't the same thing be accomplished by hitting the refresh button? Please accept my apologies for not knowing exactly what this button did, I wasn't even aware of it's existence before I read this.

Refresh is not the same. The More Activity would simply continue loading more posts at the bottom of the page, like a continuous feed.

I have never used that button. All I ever use is New Posts and have never had a problem. I will submit a work ticket however

Yes, it is a great feature to know the recent posts and posters in a fast and expedite way - it also shows immediately the first line of the post.

so does New Posts. If you click on the brown icon to the left of the New Post they will come up in order that they were posted

It used to extend the list for another few pages beyond what it deems new for a user but stopped working a while back. It's a useful feature, often I browse threads and and don't have to the time to finish reading or replying and would like to get back to them later. As it is if the thread hasn't been updated I won't be able to see it under the "what's new" tab. It would be great if clicking on "More Activity" button extended the posts by 24 hrs and at least up to 72hrs clicking more.

Perhaps they can compare with the http://www.audioshark.org/activity.php site and figure out why it works there. I briefly compared the HTML source code, but nothing obvious jumps; sounds like it's all in the activity.php page:

< div id="moreactivity_container" class="moreactivity userprof_headers userprof_headers_border">
<a id="moreactivitylink" href="activity.php?">More Activity</a>
<span id="noresults" class="hidden">No More Results</span>
<span id="noactivity" class="hidden">No Recent Activity</span>
<img id="moreactivityprogress" class="hidden" src="images/misc/progress3.gif" alt="" />
< /div>

But does it do that now as changes have been made by tech support to achieve that. Please verify for me if it is the same, better or worse when you click on it

No change, the button does nothing wether you're logged in or not.

No dice... the link works as a Refresh, I doubt it's user controlled
