Few DIY projects

Hello,
the first project of my DIY loudspeakers i have served Ti6k- JBL. My first contact with
them, was in distant 2005.
I started working with them in 2009 and finished in 2012.
The loudspeakers are "SEAS"- Excel / Tw-1”, Mw-5”for center 2? 5.5”,Bass-8,5”/ and cross-over parts- "Intertechnik".
Have are some pictures, if there is interest, i will continue.

They look better than most manufacturers abilities. I would expect them to spendy speakers as products if I didn't know they were DIY.

Thank you all, for the good evaluation of my work!

Now go, how they made the speakers:
First did this "home-matrix".... {1-1-1.jpg (170.2 KB), 2-.jpg (21.6 KB)}
On fire therein 8 layers / 4mm / MDF.
The result is two such shells ...
{3-3.jpg (173.4 KB), 3-.jpg (165.8 KB), 3-3--3.jpg (131.4 KB)}
Follows; assembly of the structure veneering veneer 'Birds' maple' toning and everything else ....

The finish is and 35-40 layers of acrylic auto acrylic varnish.And after each layer-polishing in order to obtain this:

Holy ****, you're a wild man! Do you know about No-Rez? With the use of a bandsaw it's wonderful to use, and performance very good. I've treated speakers with it and been pleased with the results being clearly better. It would be the most valuable around the mid. It also still breathes so it can be put into small spaces.

^ I know similar materials / it's Europe /
Such material has nothing to do with the structure of any of my "DIY" he can complement, but not replace ventilation.

You don't use it? It just seemed like since it cuts easily it would be ideal for complicated builds to me.

Man...i am SO embarrassed to even THINK about what my 'DIY' looks like! And we're talking screwing in fixtures and stuff!

Great job, excellent woodworking!

Folsom, I think no-rez is a beginner's product and you can easily do as good or better combining other products like MLV + denim, wool, etc. for less $. Not that no-rez is bad, it is very good but it's for people that need a simple solution and OP seems a lot more capable than needing to buy a premade product like no-rez.

I think I'd prefer water bordering over trying to apply recipes to speakers that have odd shapes and extremely limited space.

It might be easier as the layers aren't laminated together.... MLV or mass loaded vinyl is the first layer of no-rez, and I'd use that, but I prefer wool felt (f11) or Ultra Touch denim insulation over the foam no-rez uses and it's much less expensive and more customizable.
