Ok, say the next one falls near a nuclear reactor, or an oil pipeline or oil tanker? That would be catastrophic for the environment, wildlife and human resources...the lands and oceans.
Radiation and contamination and guns and tobacco kill people too. If we want to cure cancer, we have to prevent it, we have to defend ourselves.
U.S.A. defense budget is approximately $600 billion; does it include anti-meteor missiles?
If not perhaps they should? All the nations, super power should...Russia, China, USA, Japan, India, UK (GB), Europe (France), Australia, Saudi Arabia and Canada.

I think it's good to be united and all to prepare together, by putting our resources working for a common goal; protection of human life...survival of our race.
Instead of fighting wars that kill children and innocent families (Syria & Russia), and stealing US drones (China), we can concentrate on the next meteors to hit Earth? ...And all @ the same time of getting rid of ISIS once and for all. Maybe we can vote on that tomorrow, all of us together, WBF members?
We are a strong voice, a force to be reckon with here on this site; the members are no small peanuts.

I'd say we form an organisation of 'unpresidented' caliber so that we protect all human life everywhere and our planet and our galaxy and the other galaxies and the universe. I volunteer as the CEO of that new organisation. Should we submit a pole (poll) so that we can all vote?
There's no money involved, the job doesn't pay anything, just the survival of the human race and the kingdom of planet Earth with everything that lives on it.
...Everything that's worth it, that merits to subsist eternally with evolution. We're not immortal so might as well do something positive about it, no?
Our own lives might not depend on it, but other's lives sure do.

Happy Holiday season,
