Can anyone share experience with a JBL SA640 amplifier circa 1981. I have an opportunity to pick one up and am curious about the sound quality.

Typical 80's solid state sound nothing to get excited about. JBL never made any high end electronics, IMO mediocre at best.

My thoughts too but sure seems expensive for 1980 440,000 yen
