Thank you everyone who posted.

Now I have my work cut out to see which of these I should buy.

Not sure if this has the original planned 40 singers but some CDs do. The effect is stunning.

Tomas Luis de Victoria and Palestrina offer similar works.

Whilst they are all sacred works they are in Latin and unintelligible to me so just come across as a fabulous use of voices.

The Harry Christophers Sixteen also record interesting material.

Classical aside, we saw the Aladdin music this week, fantastic amplified jazz, vocals, and chorals. Bass, slam, and dynamics to test any system, with chorals. Hope they make good recordings of the show

That is indeed a very beautiful version of the requiem.

This is all excellent and cannot believe its been a year.
Kind of gave up when I thought my kit could not resolve the material.
Since all the recent kit improvements, its time to get back into it.
The room has been torn apart, painted and reduced the clutter some more so to speak.
There will be some cabinetry showing up this weekend to hold the vinyl. Once in place, the journey for the right position for the Maggies will start all over again, then the Choral discovery will resume.
Leaning towards material that is chantish(my made up word)/medative/haunting multi layered, do not know enough about it to know what to call it!
This is awesome guys/gals thanks.

You might try these superb examples of Renaissance vocal music by Josquin des Prez; the first is sacred, the second is secular:
