Measurements most likely won't tell much.

Besides that, some-to-many will claim active speakers "work for them" because they generally think "hi-fi" sound is the cat's meow. Including the manufacturers of active speakers.

Here is a review of the Paradigm Reference Active 40's I use as bed channels. The review pretty much describes my experience. I use the Active 20 as height channels:
