A few days ago I saw an Harmonia Mundi - La Folia de la Spagna Gregorio Paniagua/Atrium Musicae de Madrid SACD at a friends house. Unfortunately he does not own a SACD player. Do you know how this transfer was carried to DSD? Is the DSD recording available at the usual DSD sources?

This is a new transfer from original analog master tapes. It sounds spectacular (I have both the original RedBook and SACD). Here is the last page of the booklet:

Adam,
This is La Spagna, also by Paniagua. I was referring to La Folia.

I own both the La Folia Harmonia Mundi lp and sacd but I have never been impressed with the latter; the lp sounds far better, the sacd sounds flat and not dynamic at all.

I like the BIS La Spagna sacd a lot, however I do not possess the lp so cannot make a comparison.

Not being impressed with the HM La Folia sacd: am I the only one not liking the sacd version?

Yes, it is crazy - just saw Patricia Barber Modern Cool MFSL Hybrid SACD DSD at euro 300.00 - I will put my copy in a safe!

I think I threw mine in the trash. But if I stumble across it, I would love to sell it at a reasonable price.

Does any member have ripped SACD's using the method described in Computer Audiophile with a Blu-ray player? http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f11-software/sacd-ripping-using-oppo-or-pioneer-yes-its-true-29251/

What brand and model of player are you using?
Oppo 103, Oppo 105.

BTW, just found your post "Simple Instructions for PC users with iso2dsd #129" of the Computer Audiophile thread and I feel a lot happier! "http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f11-software/sacd-ripping-using-oppo-or-pioneer-yes-its-true-29251/index6.html#post565542
Good. It isn't difficult. I do it every day.
