mystery scratches on my recently aquired technics SL1300

just picked this turntable a good working technics SL1300
for 20 bucks and i,m happy with it
but it's kinda bugging my brain that it has these mysterious deep scratches on the aluminum deck by the platter
it's even on the decal
everywhere else is good as you can see but i can't complain for 20 bucks
the person that sold me the turntable also bought it with the scratches from an estate sale
anyone have an idea how i can fix this? i'm thinking of filling in the scratches with spot putty and paint the deck
i won't take it apart to paint just mask
